Prior to Sotheby's, Mr. Stewart served as Co-President and CFO of Altice USA, helping lead the company's successful US$2.1 billion public offering on the NYSE.
Charles spent much of his career in banking and finance, spanning the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.
Mr. Stewart is a graduate of Yale University and resides in New York, New York with his family.
Mr. Stewart is focused on delivering Sotheby's mission to expand access and ownership of works of art and luxury objects by operating the world's most trusted marketplace. He aims to do this by balancing a 277-year heritage brand with innovation and technology to power its future.
