This blog’s spotlight for spectacular developers focuses on a local industry professional who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and talking shop with recently: Nick Garton, co-founder of Garton Developments.

          Nick Garton

Garton Developments is a Seattle-based company that builds high-quality homes in the Seattle metro area. They’re focused on maximizing a home’s value, utilizing cutting-edge tools—like their data-driven pricing model—applying their extensive local market knowledge, and committing to reinvesting in the city they know and love.

In their own words, pulled from their website, “Every Garton Developments project combines the principles of 21st-century urban design with a localized, community-centric touch.” Alongside his co-founder (and brother) Reid Garton, Nick and his team are focused on creating more housing, with modern design features to suit today's and tomorrow’s homeowner’s needs and lifestyle.

Nick was born and raised in Seattle, attended Washington State University, and works for major locally-based businesses like Amazon and Boeing. His understanding of the locale and industry—he works as a broker and real estate investor—has primed him to run a business focused on community reinvestment. Garton Developments aims to create a streamlined process for home sales, a friendly approach so that it’s a positive process for all involved, and a lasting impression with the clients they so clearly value.

As someone who is dedicated to working towards a better Seattle through conscious development, it’s exciting to see talented young professionals shape the way our industry operates as they craft an approach that’s rooted in the present while looking ahead to the future. I’m excited to see where Garton Development takes their talents.
